There’s A New ‘Arrow’ And ‘Flash’ Spinoff In The Works, And It Sounds Insane
Deadline reports that a new show based in the televised DC Universe inhabited by both “Arrow” and “The Flash” is in the works, featuring a veritable who’s who of favorite characters from both shows. The rumored roster includes:
Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), aka Atom!
Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller), aka Captain Cold!
Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber), aka one half of Firestorm!
Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), aka the dead Black Canary!
Wait, what? How is Sara Lance going to be on a new show? She’s super dead! Well, death hasn’t stopped everyone in the “Arrow”/”Flash” universe — just ask Arrow himself — so for now, we’ll roll with it.
That’s just who is announced so far. Deadline mentions that the show will also include “three major DC Comics characters who have never appeared in a TV series,” so start your speculating.
But what about other “Arrow” and “The Flash” characters? Who else deserves a spot on this show? Can we get some Deathstroke action?
Or a permanent spot for Deadshot?
Maybe even Amanda Waller as a fixture?
And if Martin Stein is in the mix, you can’t have Firestorm without Robbie Amell as Ronald Raymond, right?
In the end, it all depends on what this show is about, and what it’s called. MTV’s own Alex Zalben speculates this could be “The Brave and the Bold,” or some variation, which teams up DC Comics classics with one another. Sounds like as good a bet as any right now — and honestly, whatever this is, it sounds awesome.
What’s your take on the upcoming DC Comics show?
