The Suicide Squad Cast Bonded By Inking Up As A ‘SKWAD’
Harley’s Tattoo Parlour is officially open for business.
In new photos from the set of next summer’s supervillain flick Suicide Squad, it appears the star-studded cast is bonding by trading turns behind the tattoo gun. Because nothing says “team-building” than sporting matching ink.
First, Will Smith (Deadshot) gave Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag) a nifty “SKWAD” tat, which he proudly showed off on Instagram.
“Got my #skwad tattoo:),” Kinnaman captioned the snap, adding, “Will has many many talents, tattooing is not one of them. It was like watching a drunk baby fly a helicopter. #suicidesquad #willsmith #harleystattooparlour.”
Producer Andy Horowitz then shared a pic of Margot Robbie—in full Harley Quinn attire—ditching her baseball bat in favor of an ink gun to brand director David Ayer’s arm.
“Our fearless leader #DavidAyer getting his #SKWAD tattoo last night at #harleystattooparlour #suicidesquad,” Horowitz wrote.
Ayer also tweeted a pic of the Harley’s Tattoo Parlour sign (clearly, unconventional spellings are pretty common among this crew), which Cara Delevingne (Enchantress) retweeted. Based on that, we wouldn’t be surprised if the former model—who’s pretty inked up herself—joins in on her co-stars’ tattoo fun.

Then on Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 18), Jai Courtney showed off his own “Skwad” ink, proving the trend is definitely spreading among the cast and crew.
We already know Jared Leto’s Joker is notoriously tatted up, so maybe the whole Suicide Squad decided to brandish themselves in solidarity with him. Then again, Courtney previously told MTV Leto’s taking quite the intense approach to his role, so he might not even notice what’s going on.
In any case, this gives all new meaning to #SkwadGoals, amirite?
