Spider-Man Does Whatever A Spider Can In Captain America: Civil War
When Marvel Studios’ head honcho Kevin Feige says something, it’s generally news you can take to the bank. Yesterday, the big guy behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe told The Hollywood Reporter that Spider-Man (soon to be played by Tom Holland) will indeed make an appearance in the forthcoming third entry in the Steve Rogers film series, Captain America: Civil War.
Spidey’s involvement with the MCU will likely be a two-way street; Feige also confirmed part of the agreement reached between the two studios means that some of Marvel’s characters can even appear in future Spider-Man films. Who will be featured is still anybody’s guess. At this early stage, the only sure thing is a requisite Stan Lee cameo.
More Marvel(ous) news: Feige also expressed optimism that he’ll have Captain Marvel and Black Panther directors locked down by the end of the summer, and even went as far as saying that Selma director Ava DuVernay is one of the directors being considered for the latter film.
Captain America: Civil War is slated for a May 6, 2016 release. It also has the distinction of being the first entry in the MCU Phase Three cycle of superhero flicks.
Can’t wait to see more of this on the larger-than-life IMAX 3D screen:
