Pepsi Is Officially Going Back To The Future
Last week, we told you there might be a slim chance that Pepsi would be paying tribute to its futuristic (and sorta fictional) cameo in Robert Zemeckis’ 1989 time-travel classic, Back to the Future Part II.
Now we can confirm it’s officially happening. To celebrate the exact day (October 21, 2015) Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) walked into Café ’80s and ordered a crazy-looking, “vitamin-enriched” fizzy beverage called Pepsi Perfect, the pop company will be releasing 6,500 limited edition, 16.9 oz. bottles of good ol’ Pepsi Perfect.
They even released a video, which you can conveniently watch right here. It even features a totally rad pink hoverboard!
According to The A.V. Club, the bottles will arrive in a special collectible case and will retail for 20 current-day American dollars, plus 15 cents. Those planning on attending New York Comic Con will get a chance to score one of 1,500 free bottles, which is further explained here.
That’s all we know for now, but tune in to Pepsi’s Twitter feed for more deets as they come in. Here’s a closer look at the bottle and hoverboard.
So when does Jaws 19 come out?
