Luxury Devices For Those With A Deep Love Of Gaming (And Even Deeper Pockets)
Maker of limited, luxury, retro-inspired devices, Swedish designer, Love Hulten has debuted two new devices that reinforce his reputation of designing simple, elegant electronics. The first is the PE358, a Nintendo emulator (powered by a Raspberry Pi A+ processor) loosely-based on the design of the Game Boy Advance SP, but with a rich walnut wood case in lieu of a plastic exterior.
The second device is the Battlecade, a two-person gaming arcade machine that folds up into what looks like a walnut suitcase, with design-inspiration drawn from the classic board game Battleship. When in use, the two players sit opposite each other as opposed to side by side in a traditional arcade, with the other player’s 12-inch LCD screen and controls hidden from view. Screw-in joysticks and a power adapter are stored away inside a compartment for easy carrying.
While neither device lists a price, they are available on a bespoke-basis, with a price that’s sure to match. (via Hypebeast)
