New Mockingjay Clip Reveals Katniss’ Role In The Revolt Against The Capitol
While Hunger Games fans probably pictured The Girl On Fire riding into battle against the Capitol atop some sort of futuristic flaming horse looking like a dystopian Joan of Arc, the latest clip from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 2 shows Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) in a much different role.
Call it District 12 Poster Girl 2.0 or call it the 76th Hunger Games—the rebels plan on using Katniss’ face to launch a thousand rebel ships, assigning her to the non-combat propaganda machine they call “Star Squad,” keeping her far away from the advancing army’s front lines (and, if all goes according to plan, out of danger).
Of course Katniss isn’t cool with it. She’d rather be off camera and in the thick of things, but knowing this franchise, that’s where she and her fellow Star Squaders (Finnick and Gale among them) will end up.
Empty streets? Days behind the rest of the rebel troops? Sounds like a lonely mission. Good thing Katniss and her crew have those pods full of boiling tar/rabid dogs/tracker jackers to keep them busy. Should make for great Rebel TV.
Start sharpening your two-handed Dacian falxes; The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 2 hits theatres November 20.
