Here’s Your First Look At X-Men: Apocalypse’s Titular Baddie
You may or may not have seen the leaked San Diego Comic-Con trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse, but here’s a muuuch crisper look at Bryan Singer’s forthcoming X-Men sequel-prequel, which is slated for a May 27, 2016 release.
Thanks to the good geeks at Entertainment Weekly, we’ve got a first look at three all-new characters: Young Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), and even the mysterious Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac, who will also appear in this year’s hugest movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens).
Apocalypse looks sufficiently rad, but he also kinda-sorta resembles Ivan Ooze, the utterly ridiculous villain from the 1995 Power Rangers movie.
We’re also assuming Apocalypse is in cahoots with those abovementioned gals, in addition to Magneto (Michael Fassbender), whom he’s not only striking a friendly pose with on the cover of EW, but has his veiny blue hands on Magneto and Psylock’s shoulders. Seems deliberately intimate, no? Plus, according to unofficial SDCC reports, those three make up three-fourths of Apocalypse’s Four Horsemen, in addition to Archangel (Ben Hardy).
Also on photographic display are X-Men alums Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Moira MacTaggert (Rose Bryne), Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), Havok (Lucas Till), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Quicksilver (Evan Peters), and director dude Bryan Singer. Have a look below:
