Daniel Radcliffe’s Farting Corpse Stars In The Craziest Trailer You’re Going To See This Year
There are some movies that are considered career milestones, and Daniel Radcliffe has already had a few huge ones—wands and Muggles notwithstanding. But it appears his new movie is going to be a particularly big milestone based on early reactions alone.
The film, Swiss Army Man, stars Paul Dano as a man stranded on a desert island who one day finds his savior in a corpse (Radcliffe) that washes up on shore.
Throughout a truly bizarre 95 minutes, Dano’s character Hank chats with Radcliffe’s Manny about love, life… and masturbation. Hank also can be seen using Manny as a water fountain, a grappling hook, an axe, and a raft propelled by Manny’s corpse farts.
It’s no wonder that directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (known professionally as “Daniels”) have had to deal with people walking out of Swiss Army Man’s screening at Sundance.
But a magical realist fable about the human condition could make for a superbly unique moviegoing experience. And as Daniels said to BuzzFeed, this “fart drama” might actually be sneakily poignant and affect a lot of people.
