Sir Christopher Lee Has Died
You know those actors who just bring every movie they’re in up a notch? That was Sir Christopher Lee. Whether he was playing Saruman in one of Peter Jackson’s innumerable Lord of the Hobbits films, going over to the dark side in the Star Wars prequels, acting as Lord Summerisle in The Wicker Man (the good version), or playing Dracula as he did nearly a dozen times during the first half of his acting career, Lee was always fun to watch….

Octogenarians making metal albums is so metal.
Lee passed away this past Sunday but his wife kept the news quiet until his family could be informed, so fans are only hearing of his death today. The 93-year-old had been hospitalized for heart failure and respiratory trouble.
As an actor who worked steadily since the late 1940s and experienced an enormous career resurgence when he was cast in both The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones within the span of a single year, Lee was an unmitigated success. How do we know? Because the man has Lego figures from two different blockbuster franchises modelled after him.
