‘Jurassic World’ Trailer: 5 Things We Want To See

The park is about to reopen for business.

Hold on to your butts! On Thursday, Universal will unveil the first full trailer for “Jurassic World,” the fourth film in the “Jurassic” series, and the realization of John Hammond’s dream of an amusement park filled with dinosaurs. Over the weekend, a 15-second teaser showed us more about director Colin Trevorrow’s upcoming sequel than we’d ever seen before. But we want more. Much, much more.

Here’s what we want to see when the “Jurassic World” trailer drops later this week:

1. The Park

The trailer tease shows us dinosaurs roaming around in fields, and the park’s iconic gates opening up for the first time in years. But we want to see more of what the park has to offer. Rumors persist that Jurassic World is even more of a glorious resort than Hammond first envisioned with Jurassic Park, and we want to see it for ourselves.

2. The T-Rex

Just one mighty roar. That’s all we ask.

3. The New Dinosaur

We’ve heard rumblings about a brand-new kind of dinosaur debuting in “Jurassic World,” an all-original genetic experiment created by the park’s scientists. This creature is bound to be a big part of the movie, so we don’t need to see it in its entirety, but something to give us a clearer sense of the danger it presents would be nice.

4. More Chris Pratt

The erstwhile Star-Lord stands tall as the star of “Jurassic World,” and we see a quick glimpse of his character in the “Jurassic World” tease. So, pretty safe to say that we’ll see more Pratt Pratt Pratt in the fuller trailer. Hopefully something that rivals this bit of excellence:

5. Everything, Really

Because even the 15 seconds released over the weekend was enough to get us in full on “Jurassic Park” nostalgia mode. Fingers are firmly crossed that “Jurassic World” is a hit — so the only thing we really need to see in the trailer, is proof to back up our highest hopes.

“Jurassic World” opens on June 12, 2015.
