‘Furious 7’ Is Officially Bigger Than ‘Frozen’

“Furious 7” can’t be stopped.

The seventh installment of the “Fast & Furious” franchise has officially sped past “Frozen” — yes, one of the biggest cultural phenomenons ever — to become the fifth-highest grossing film of all time, according to Box Office Mojo. Sorry Elsa and Olaf, but you’ve got nothing on Dominic Toretto and his family.

After crossing the $1 billion mark just 17 days after its release, the Vin Diesel-fronted film has grossed a cool $1.32 billion at the worldwide box office, surpassing the Disney animated flick’s measly $1.27 billion.

After four furious weeks atop the North American box office, “Furious 7″ should enjoy its final box office victory lap while it still can. Diesel and co. will undoubtedly be knocked off their throne with the May 1 opening of “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which is estimated to make $200 million during its opening weekend. Still, after passing $1 billion internationally, “Furious 7″ could certainly continue its reign overseas.

With the tremendous success of “Furious 7,” the “Fast & Furious” franchise has grossed $3.7 billion worldwide. Not too shabby for a gang of Corona-loving street racers.

Somewhere, Vin Diesel can be heard singing “Let It Go” to himself… in the shower, probably.

Meanwhile, Elsa gently croons “See You Again” under her breath — because “Frozen 2″ is happening, which means there will be another chance at eternal, top-five glory. Then again, so is “Fast and Furious 8.” So… maybe Dom and Elsa should just race for the title?

OMG, someone please invite Elsa to Race Wars. She has a driver’s license, right?
