Daisy Ridley And John Boyega Definitely Won Star Wars Day

It’s pretty hard to avoid the fact that today is May 4, also known as May the Fourth be with you, also known as Star Wars Day. You see, today, more than any other day, young Padawan, is a celebration of George Lucas’s extensive universe—and you don’t have to live in a galaxy far, far away to participate in the festivities.

This year, Star Wars newbies Daisy Ridley and John Boyega—Ridley is currently busy filming Star Wars: Episode VIII (NBD)—were hella excited to take part in the fandom celebration. Here’s how precious humans Ridley, Boyega, and the rest of the Star Wars cast celebrated their big day.

First, Daisy Ridley Just Couldn’t Contain Her Excitement

Have you ever seen a smile so magnificent? It’s seriously out of this galaxy. (Get it?)

Then She Reminded All Of Us That Her Friendship With Boyega Is The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of

Star Wars: The Force Awakens introduced us to the wonderful friendship between Ridley and Boyega, and now we don’t ever want to live in a world where it doesn’t exist. (Mad love to you too, BB-8.)

She Also Celebrated The Hard-Working Star Wars Crew Who Helped Rey’s Fresh Do Look Flawless In The Jakku Heat

“This is team Dazzle; Lisa, Amanda and Callie (missing Sonny!) AKA the incredible women that kept me going the whole way through the shoot!” Ridley wrote.

Meanwhile, Boyega Had A Message For His Stormtrooper Brothers In Arms

Over In New York City, Force Awakens Director J.J. Abrams Surprised A Bunch Of Theatre Nerds With Lin-Manuel Miranda

Miranda and Abrams surprised Hamilton fans with a live performance of “Jabba Flow,” the cantina music the duo penned for The Force Awakens, during Wednesday’s #Ham4Ham show. Miranda confirmed the cantina jam was written in Huttese.

And Finally, It Wouldn’t Be Star Wars Days Without A Message From Peter Mayhew A.K.A. Chewbacca

I’M NOT CRYING—YOU’RE CRYING.
