Do you like fire and the crackling, sizzling sounds that fire makes? Then you're going to love the new animated (and quite literal) poster that's just been released to promote The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. While fans still have a full year to wait before the movie comes out (it's currently being filmed in and around Atlanta and set to be released November 22, 2013) the nice people at Lionsgate have given us this mesmerizing poster to tide us over for the next 366 days. Turn on your speakers, and check it out below.

The poster, which closely resembles the book cover, features Katniss Everdeen's gold mockingjay pin, the tribute token that she carries with her to the games. The mockingjay is viewed as an serious insult by those in the Capital: they created the hybrid bird and the results were unfavourable and embarrassing—it survives on its own in the wild, and it isn't supposed to (like Katniss, get it?). In the upcoming movies, the bird, through Katniss, becomes a symbol of the revolution.

Okay, yes—the poster may take longer to load than a regular ol' gif, but it's kind of cool, no? And it'll come in handy over the holidays. No more boring fireplace DVD—you can just load this baby up instead and instantly impress your friends and relatives with how on-trend you are when it comes to teenage science fiction adventure genre films. And that gold mockingjay is pretty festive.
