Since the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series launched in 2003, many one-off miniseries (Razor, The Plan), webisodes (The Resistance, Razor Flashbacks, The Face of the Enemy) as well as a prequel series (the short-lived Caprica) have expanded the BSG world and gave depth to the Cylon War and its history. Now you can add Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome to that list. It tells the story of young hotshot pilot William Adama on his very first mission.
