The Hunger Games has been getting a lot of positive buzz, and it would seem that it is not undeserved! Already garnering a generous 88% on Rotten Tomatoes, the signs seem to have aligned for a great movie. Teenagers killing each other, fun for the whole family!

Of course I’m seeing it. Now for spoilers!

Rian Johnson has finally released some details about his upcoming time-travel movie starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It tells the tale of a mob-assassin who travels back in time to kill people in the past! I wonder what kind of consequences those actions could have.

Snow White And The Huntsman

So I’ve been pretty enthusiastic about this movie from the get-go because I thought it sounded cool, and with each trailer I’ve come across, I’ve liked it more and more. This one really encapsulates every reason why I want to check it out though, so I suggest you take a look as well!

The Host

Speaking of trailers, the first one for The Host has appeared. Not much to go on, but the voice and message is insanely creepy. It’s being directed by Andrew Niccol (Gattaca) so it isn’t as though it doesn’t have promise, being a dystopia and all. It isn’t as “esteemed” as Twilight was, so there may also be more room to play with the less savoury (Bad. I mean bad.) aspects of the story as well. I’ll wait to hear more before you get my verdict.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Michael Bay is doing it. They’re going to be aliens instead of mutants. Bay claims they’re building a richer world. I will be in a corner plugging my ears and screaming until it goes away if you need me.

Whatever, I was a 90’s kid.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome

We have it at last! The trailer of Battlestar Galactica’s webseries “Blood and Chrome”, which I have to admit, looks totally awesome. This will follow the story of a young William Adam during the Cylon war. Though the series is has yet to be commissioned as a full TV show, if the webseries gets enough attention we might be in luck!

Of course, if it doesn’t we probably won’t get anything.

Doctor Who

Well, we know who it is folks! With the departure of Rory and Amy some time this year, we will have a new companion played by Jenna-Louise Coleman! Apparently she’ll be involved in some kind of mystery (maybe not human? Who knows.) and will be an even faster talker than the Doctor! While we don’t know what exactly Rory and Amy’s fate will be yet, it’s looking more and more like there will be blood before we see our new companion.

The Walking Dead

Katana-wielding Queen of zombie decapitation has officially been cast for next season! Treme’s Danai Gurira will be picking up where we left off in season three.
