Remember last week when I said we're getting longer glances at our characters' back stories? Well, this week is no different with more focus on Reid and Jackson this time. Our case of the week opens the flood gates when a Jewish anarchist (played by Sir Ben Kingsley's son, Ferdinand) is killed in an explosion during a London Dock Strike protest.
Commissioner James Monro returns (played by Michael McElhatton and last seen in "The Good of This City") along with a Superintendent named Constantine (Derek Riddell) who tell Reid and co. to back off from Russian spy Peter Morris who might be responsible for the explosions. But, it seems like there's more to Constantine who has prior knowledge of their suspect, Jackson's past and Reid's child.
Speaking of Reid, he once again turns to Miss Goren and shares a moment with her revealing the origin of his scars. The chemistry between these would make Jackson blush... after he wakes up from a binge, that is. Of course, Reid is a respectable gentleman, devoted husband and a man of strong morals and principles while Miss Goren is a proper lady who is caring and compassionate – but hey, if it fits, it 'ships!
