Any excuse to have Anthony Head grace my television, I’ll take it. This weekend’s episode of Merlin sees the somewhat return of Uther Pendragon when Arthur is given the chance to speak to his deceased father. Who wouldn’t want to hear how disappointed their father is in them... even in the afterlife?
We last saw Uther wounded while trying to save his son from an assassin only to have Merlin’s healing spell countered by Morgana turning his wound fatal. Now, three years after Uther’s death, what sort of witchcraft has brought forth Uther's spirit? What are the ramifications (Lord, knows there's always ramifications when messing with magic)? Can Arthur convince him that the family’s legacy is not in jeopardy?
(I realize there must be tonnes of you who have seen this episode already and are laughing at my questions. Please bear with us who are watching these episodes for the first time and please come back after the broadcast to chat about the show!)
Catch Merlin Saturday at 8E/5P and watch online the day after at spacecast.com!
