It was probably a bad idea to let DJ Jazzy Jeff try his hand at script supervising. Will Smith's third Men in Black movie had—according to the website Moviemistakes.com—the most errors of any film released in 2012. Director Barry Sonnenfeld's franchise turned 15 this year (that's 105 in dog years) and it's getting a little tired. So tired in fact, that the filmmakers allowed a whopping 63 mistakes into Men in Black 3, more than doubling the number of boo-boos in the second place film, Sam Mendes' Skyfall. The eagle-eyed film buffs at Moviemistakes.com counted (only!) 29 errors in the latest Bond film.

Filling out the top five spots on Moviemistakes.com's list of (dis)honourees are three comic book-based blockbusters: The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-Man, and The Avengers (director Joss Whedon's film also proudly holds the title of the most overrated and over-hyped movie of 2012—but don't tell Samuel L. Jackson that). All three films had errors numbering in the low to mid twenties.

While many of the mistakes are minor (drink levels increasing in an actor's glass rather than decreasing, props being moved or turned slightly between takes) there are also other, larger bloopers that find their way into a final cut (if only every editor had their own Alma Reville on standby). Moviemistakes.com also compiled a list of the best (aka the biggest) mistakes of the year. The Dark Knight Rises features a crew member cameo. Peter Parker seems to be popping out to have his jacket cleaned at various points in a fight scene against The Lizard. And in Looper (coming in at number six on the list of most error-strewn films) Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character gets shot in his right shoulder by Emily Blunt, but the inept medical professional looking after him treats his left side.

I bet that actor never even went to medical school.
