Missed it? Watch it! Because here be spoilers...
First thing's first: Flashback or hallucination; it doesn’t matter – Mark Pellegrino is always welcomed on my television.
Second thing's second: That noise you heard was the sound of Aidan Turner (Mitchell; Being Human UK) spitting out his water listening to Sam Witwer's Irish accent.
Third thing’s third: The actual recap...
Our former ghost and current sexpot Sally is all glowy in a new relationship with Max. Downside, they are extremely reclusive due to her curse. So, while she's fawning over Max and his French toast, she never stops to think what if she bumps into her father or her brother. Well guess what? The latter shows up causing Sally to run to Donna, the witch who brought her back to life, to ensure her brother's safety. A deal is struck where Sally can now roam free, seeing whomever she wishes with no catch except one: when she dies, her soul belongs to Donna (and we all know what Donna does to souls).
Over to the our Hungry Hungry Vampire, Aidan is caught in a line of questioning from Kenny who has even offered to feed him his germ-free blood and thus a new bromance was born – until the kid asks to be turned into a vampire. Of all of people in fiction who have asked to be turned into a vampire, a sick boy confined to a bubble has a very strong case; however, the price is high and will mean an eternal life of killing as seen in Aidan’s flashbacks of when he was turned.
What's a vamp to do? Go home to mull it over as he kicks back to drink some freshly syringed blood... that's been poisoned by Erin! That’s right; once again, Aidan draws the short end of the stick. Teen Wolf Erin has joined a pack, Liam's pack specifically, and through his orders, added some of her blood to Aidan's stash (if we recall, werewolf blood is poison to vampires). End scene with Erin standing over a bleeding Aidan while fiercely gripping a stake.
Some thoughts:
- Josh may be a mere mortal but he seems to still be in the middle of both these story arcs. He's the one who went to Donna in the first place to bring Sally back to life and he's the one who also welcomed Erin into their home. Josh/Sam Huntington was the reason I really glommed onto this series and I think making him human among the supernatural actually makes him more compelling even if the show hasn’t really done much to shine a light on him since. My fear though... the show is missing a ghost. Just sayin'...
- As Aidan considers offering Kenny eternal life, I wonder if his potential lack of food supply will factor into his decision.
- Sally, Sally, Sally. Why didn't you just leave Boston?
- Here’s a drinking game for you: every time anyone on any show makes a deal with someone or something concerning their soul and everything turns out okay, take a drink. Congratulations, you are officially the most sober you’ll ever be!
Well's that's what I thought, let's see what Cynthia and Ajay thought...
