Yesterday was the third annual Bell Let’s Talk Day - a time dedicated to raising awareness of mental health and making a difference in the lives of Canadians who suffer from mental illness. Spokesperson and Olympian Clara Hughes joined Ajay and Teddy in studio to discuss this very important day and how the first step to getting rid of the stigma of mental health starts by talking about it. [See video below]
After yesterday and with the help of millions of Canadians coast to coast, a record-shattering $4.8 million dollars was raised and donated toward Canadian mental health. Though Bell Let’s Talk Day is over, that doesn’t mean we should stop the conversation! For more information, visit http://letstalk.bell.ca.
If you or a family member is experiencing a mental health issue, you’re not alone. It's troubling that only one in three people get the help they need. For those in distress, please call one of the resources listed here for support or guidance.
