I was on a red carpet at Comic-Con when the gorgeous Jessica Biel approached me to discuss Total Recall. Now, in case you’ve never noticed, the hand-held microphones we use at InnerSPACE look like they were made for space travel. Nothing like the slim little numbers that Bob Barker sports on The Price Is Right. These babies are oddly thick and have a heavy, chunky battery attached to the bottom. So while I was in the middle of interviewing Jessica–and also trying to make her forget all about JT–the entire butt of my microphone fell off.  

Clunk. Right on the floor. Almost on her Bieltoes.  

I had to awkwardly stoop down and grab the battery pack and then fumble for a moment trying to put it all back together. Luckily, she rolled with it, mugged to the camera, and then picked up right where she left off when we were given the go ahead that we had audio again. The situation could have been worse, but she made it livable.
